Wind's birthday was a few days ago and Violet tried to help him celebrate it the best she could...
She gave him an alarm clock stereo that you can hook your ipod up to so they can listen to music in the bedroom. She even designed her own wrapping paper.

 

and she helped him open his presents...

 

She loves her Daddy, very much.

 

Violet Plays a Video Game

Ania (with Mat & Jill, of course) came over for a BBQ last weekend. Violet thought she was VERY cool! She laughed at her dances, hugged her, and let Ania show her how to play ring around the rosy. :)

My Baby Girl is 5 Months Old!

Violet is 5 months old today. I can't believe it. In some ways I feel like it has flown by, but in other ways I feel like I have known her forever.
Today was full of ups an downs... last night we woke up quite a few times, but then the morning she laughed at me for several minutes while I laughed at her. We just sat and looked at each other and laughed.... it was awesome. Then we had a bunch of stuff to do today and she ended up not napping as much as she should have, so ended up crying SUPER loud for a half hour straight! Finally I got her to calm down and she slept like an angel for 2 hours.
It is getting much harder to get her to take a nap. She is so interested in everything that she doesn't want to sleep for fear she will miss something fun. But in general she is a very good baby, full of smiles, laughter, poop. She brings me joy every single day.

Proof that she now rolls over!

Grandparents visit.

Grandma & Grandpa came to visit this last weekend and Violet had lots of firsts!
Here is the breakdown:
- rolled over BOTH directions several times
- "drank" some water from a cup (mostly tongued the glass)
- ate guacamole from a chip at Por Que No

We also went for lots of walks. :)

Grandma brought up her scale and length chart too, so we got to measure Violet's growth. Here is the new chart of her sizes and percentiles:

It was a very fun visit. I wish they lived here so we could hang out all the time. :)
