Zig-Zag = hilarious
Apparently when Zig-Zag paces back and forth while panting it is super hilarious.

Milk Beard
Ok, it isn't actually milk... it is cheese... goat cheese. She LOVES it!
We are trying this new thing where Violet pretty much feeds herself. Mostly because she is NOT interested in eating off a spoon anymore and her doctor said it safe as long as it is either soft or small or both. So, I have been giving her random items of food to try. She in enjoying it quite a bit. A lot of it doesn't actually go down the pipes, but some does. It is working for now and she seems to be much more interested in food this way.

6 months old!
Violet passed the 6 month old mark on Thursday. It was a big week for her. She completed her final music class (until September). Here is Violet and her music class friends...
Uma, Avery, Violet & Tyler
She got an "award of excellence" in her swimming class which she took from the teacher and then proceeded to eat. :)
She also graduated from our New Mom/Baby group that we had been going to almost every Friday since she was 4 weeks old. She got to wear a graduation cap and everything!
It is amazing that she is 6 months old. As I reflect back on the past 6 months it is really impressive how much change has already gone on with her (and me as a Mom). Here she is in her very first minute of life...
And now, she sits completely unassisted, laughs, smiles all the time, is starting to recognize words we say, rolls all over the place and so much more. Here is her on her 6 month birthday...
And for me, in six months, I finally feel like a "real" Mom. I feel confident (mostly) and really happy to know her. She lights up my life.

Teeth!
So, baby Violet is growing her VERY FIRST teeth right now. The two bottom teeth are both poking through the gums. That is why she has been so grumpy and yelly. Good to know there is a reason.
As soon as their is something to take a picture of I will post it. :)

Memorial Day weekend at Camp Stohlman
This last weekend we went to visit Violet's Grandparents,
Great Grandpa, Great Aunt and Uncle, 2nd Cousin, and family friends.
The weather was perfect... 75 and sunny. Violet got to sit on a blanket outside in the grass for a lot of the weekend completely naked, which she LOVED!
My favorite part of the weekend was when she cracked up laughing at Oscar catching his ball out of the air. She laughed for 10 minutes, maybe more. It was, by far, the most I have heard her laugh so far. I captured a pretty cute video of it below.
We had the best time. A special thanks to my Mom and Dad for hosting us and making it a wonderful time for everyone. We can't wait to see you all again soon.
