We went down to CJ for 4th of July weekend. For the fireworks show we went to the Garnier's (Out-And-About Treehouses) with my parents, Joy and George, and the Christiansons. The had a pretty long and amazing fireworks show. It was Violet's first and WAAAAAAY past her bedtime, but she was really happy the whole time and eventually went to sleep DURING the REALLY loud fireworks show. :)

Cannon Beach Trip - June 22nd - 24th
We took a mid-week, post-Father's-Day, trip to Cannon Beach with Violet. It was her 2nd trip to the beach, but the 1st where she could actually experience it... and she did. Here are some of our pictures...
Hangin' at the park - June 26th
We went over to Marcy, Alex & Lorenzo's to watch a World Cup game. Mat, Jill & Ania also came over. It was very fun except for the fact that the USA lost! When the game was over we went to the park a few blocks from their house. The men played soccer barefoot and shirtless and the babies and ladies hung out in the shade.
Ania held Violet's hand...
Violet struck a pose...
and Violet had her VERY first swing ride. It was a big hit. She laughed and smiled the whole time even though she was pretty sleepy.

First Concert - Jewel - June 25th
Violet went to her first concert EVER (the first of 3 this summer) on June 25th. We went to see Jewel at the Oregon Zoo. It was great weather, so we went early to get a good spot to sit in case we had to leave unexpectedly if Violet didn't like it.
Violet had a great time watching people and playing before the show started at 7.
The show started at her usual bedtime, so we weren't sure how it would go, but she just got quiet and sleepy while listening to the music.
She dozed off and basically stayed asleep until it was over, despite the loud cheering and clapping.
It was really fun and she did amazingly well... good thing because she has to go to 2 more...

Violet's Gradation - June 11th
Violet graduated from our New Mom's (and Baby's) Group on June 11th. The group is only for 0 - 6 month olds... so we are done. :(
It has been a great learning experience and a great way to meet new friends with babies a similar age. Thanks to Mary for all the support!
At graduation Violet got to wear the graduation cap. The first of many, I hope. She also wore a dress that used to be mine when I was a baby. She looked so cute.
She was so proud.
And so was her Mommy.

Bad Mom.
OK. I have been seriously slacking at my blogging about Violet. And we have done so many cool things in the last month.
I am going to post a series of posts that represent all the goings on. Stay tuned for a blogsplotion!
