July 2011- Trip to CJ/ 4th of July

Wind had taken our car to Man Weekend so when we woke up the day after the wedding Nana, Papa, V, Oscar, ZigZag, & I all piled into Papa's truck to go down to Cave Junction. V rode backwards in the front seat with the airbag off.

 

She loved being able to look at everyone squished in the back!
After the LONG truck ride, we got to CJ. Wind came and met us the next day. 

V spent most the the time we were there in the backyard playing in a huge container of water that we put out there for her. It kept her cool and entertained for MANY hours.

 

We went to the Treehouses for the 4th of July again, which was really fun until the fireworks started. This year V was afraid of them so my Mom and I had to go walk around with V in the stroller to get farther away from them.

 

We ended up watching them from the parking lot, which was fine. In fact, next year we may just set up out there to start with!

 

She liked to ride in Papa's wagon he uses for the garden, so we pulled her all around the property in it. I even filled it up with water at one point so she could ride around IN A SWIMMING POOL!

Nana and Papa had to go to work some of the days we were there, so one day we went to the Big Cat Park. Wind and I had NEVER been there in all of our trips to CJ. It was very very cool. You can sett the cats close up and since they are trained for photo shoots and movies and such they have them do some "tricks".  Violet thought it was really cool, but was most excited about seeing the lion until....

 

she actually met the lion. The tour guide had him roar for us and she got very scared and cried. We had to go stand back about 30 feet for the rest of the time.


We went to a concert at Jubilee Park with Marcia, John, and the grandparents and V, of course, had to play of the playground. Wind ended up operating the merry-go-round for a long time. :)

We had a great time down there and ALWAYS enjoy visiting the grandparents.
